CHIP SCALE ATOMIC CLOCK
A chip scale, low power (115 mW) and low cost ($1,500) atomic clock, to be used in portable devices that require precise timing and have no access via GPS, like deep-sea diving, mining and seismic research. This clock has a good accuracy in the range of 1 second per 4,000 years. compared to heavy power consuming space taking atomic clocks with accuracy in the range of 1 second per 100 million years. Let alone the nuclear clock with accuracy in the range of 1 second per 10 billions years or the quantum logic with accuracy in the range of 1 second per 200 billions years. Quartz or Crystal clocks have accuracy of 1 second per 2 days

HELIUM HDD
Helium, as opposed to Oxygen & Nitrogen of the air, causes less flutter, hence platters can run faster and packed closer. Helium filled hard disk drives are hence more compact (25% less height), or have more platters (7 instead of 5) and hence larger capacity (50% more), quicker and faster, and consume less power (50% less) due to the lesser friction. Today's Helium filled 3.5" HDDs offer 12 TB, and hermetically sealed during manufacturing

UNDERWATER DATA CENTERS
Microsoft recently sank a data center the size of a shipping container in the Orkney Islands of Scotland. Underwater data centers get cheap power and free cooling. A data center on land takes between18 and 24 months to complete, while the portable underwater data centers can be delivered in 3 months, and serve for 5 to 10 years. Underwater data centers can run autonomously, scaled easily, and they are environment friendly

5G
5G uses from 5 GHz to 96 GHz signaling, it has greater transmission speed and lower latency and therefore greater capacity of remote execution and greater number of connected devices. Those features will give employees and businesses a chance to increase productivity, profitability without being chained to specific locations for Ethernet or Wi-Fi spot. Aside from happily working from anywhere, 5G will improve and widen the support of IoT. Covering range and line of sight requirement and other issues, due to the extremely short waves, are yet to be resolved

AMD TR3990X
AMD Ryzen Threadripper is a 64-core (128-thread) desktop processor with on die 4 MB L1 cache, 32 MB l2 cache and 256 MB L3 cache. Base frequency 2.9 GHz, 4.3 GHz max single core and 3.45 GHz max all core. It has 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes, 4 channels DDR4-3200 capable of 256 GB (EPYC is a server version with 8 channels DDR4 capable of 512 GB). Max power is 280 around 20 Billion transistors using sTRX4 socket with 4096 contacts. And price is $3990

GLC & 747 FUEL ECONOMY
The Boeing 747 jumbo air craft burns 10 Litres of fuel per kilometer, while the Mercedes GLC burns 0.1 Litres per kilometer, and yet more economic.
Fuel tank (Liter): 240,000 vs. 65
Speed (Km/h): 980 vs. 220
Range (Km): 13,450 vs. 600
Length / Width (Meter): 70/70 vs. 5/2
Weight (Kg): 184,000 vs. 2,000
Passengers: 480 vs. 4
Cargo (Kg): 140,000 vs. 100

FUTURE CAR TECH
Vehicles will be connecting to everything, including infrastructure, smart buildings, highway signs, businesses and emergency warnings. Among the technologies needed here is 5G Connectivity for low latency and fast data transferred IoT via Bluetooth and USB connections within the vehicle. AI for image recognition and decision making based on: LiDAR to create a 3D representation of the landscape and 360 Degree Cameras

VOYAGER 2
A space probe by NASA, launched on August 20, 1977, to study the outer planets, 16 days before its twin, VOYAGER 1, on a trajectory that took longer to reach Jupiter and Saturn but enabled further encounters with Uranus and Neptune. There was a technical hiccup but now the instruments are working fine. The 470W energy comes form a small nuclear power plant, which is now getting less and less due to fuel depletion. Cost was 900 Million dollars. Traveling at nearly 62,000 Kilometers per hour, it is now 18.5 Billion kilometers away (The Sun is just 147 Millions kilometers away from us), and it takes the communication signal 17 hours to reach and another 17 hours to get a response back. So, if we ask it to send its speed, by the time we get the answer it will be more than a million kilometers away from the point it sent the answer

AIRBUS ATTOL
Airbus’ Autonomous Taxi, Take-Off and Landing (ATTOL) is a vision-based image recognition computer system. The first take off took place from Toulouse-Blagnac airport on Jan 16, 2020, with flight test engineers and two pilots for emergency. Much of the flight control was conducted by computers but take-off, landing and taxi were mostly by pilots using instrument landing systems. Will pilot go home? Well, they can apply for Uber

EXOSKELETON
An exoskeleton is a full body wearable augmentation device; it can help a paralyzed person walk on his own, a worker or soldier lift loads more than 80 pounds and less than 200 pounds. A man wearing exoskeleton can lift 200 pounds loads with the ease of 10 pounds (20 :1 reduction ratio). Such systems may require more than 20 degrees of freedom motion using more than 20 electric motors, more than 100 sensors, driven by powerful battery. The range 80 - 200 pounds comes from the fact that health standards limit the 8 hours per day workers to: 50 pounds per person, 80 pound per two persons. Loads above 200 pound must be lifted using machines like fork lifters
